Summer Jam Sat 7/23 pm shift (Must be 18+)

You must be 18 years of age to volunteer at this event

We are assuming this shift will be 5pm – 11pm, but in past years has been as early as 4pm.

Summer jam is an outdoor concert. Based on previous years if you are volunteering you will get hot, dirty, and possibly your feet will get wet. We will not know until the week before the exact times or jobs that will be available for us to volunteer. What we do know is that the more shifts we can fill for Canterbury Park before Summer jam the more beer portables we will get for this event.

In past years volunteers have taken tickets at the main entrance and in the main building, worked concession stands (inside of the building), worked beer portables and worked security (watching a door to make sure no-one goes in). If you are not willing to work any of these roles please do not sign up for this event. Volunteers who have worked at Canterbury Park this season will be given preference towards beer portables. If you would prefer to volunteer in the air conditioned building please let Martin know

You are allowed to come in and watch the concert before and after your shift starts/ends.

Parking is free. Parking passes will be release a few days before the end. Once we know the exact date we will let everyone know so that pick up can be arranged.

Cash tips are all collected in during the event. At a later date all tips are counted put into envelopes and handed back to the volunteers that worked. Tips are divided equally by day based on hours volunteered. If you would like to help sort and count the tips after Summer Jam has ended please let Martin know.
